Meet the Team ...
Roy Chapman
I qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1956 and subsequently spent three years as a valuer with the Inland Revenue in Colchester before being invited to become a partner in Abbotts in Witham , remaining with that firm until we were bought out in 1988 .
This is when I reached a crossroads in Life and created my own highly personalised practice in West Bergholt and latterly in Nayland. Big is not always beautiful !
I count myself fortunate to be working with my two sons who both joined me in the early 1990's and have subsequently taken over the day to day running of the business.
Other than my family the love of my life is horseracing but I have always been keen on sports , so cricket and rugby also figure as well as football bearing in mind I was a Director of Colchester United in the 70's during those dizzy days when Leeds United (the Man.Utd. of the day) were defeated in the F.A.Cup.

I seem to have been in Estate Agency all my life !
I've been lucky enough to have had a varied career within the profession ever since I left school , initially in Colchester and then for 10 years in Newmarket where I was involved with the sale of Studs and Stables as well as normal houses. It did not take long to make up my mind when my Father gave me the chance to join him!
Since then I have enjoyed being in a highly personalised business in one of the loveliest parts of the country.
My outside interests are centred on racing and football being a season ticket holder at Colchester Utd. for many years.

I joined the firm in the early 1990's having previously worked in the Bloodstock Industry in England, Ireland and the USA. During that time I had the opportunity to meet and work with an extraordinary mix of people ranging from James Brooks , creator of The Simpsons, rapper M.C.Hammer, an Apache Indian and H.M The Queen! This gave a wonderful grounding in dealing with people , which this job is all about.
I have lived in Boxford for the last 10 years with my wife and two children. Much of my spare time is taken up with their sporting activities however I am still a keen follower of racing and most other sports.
